Excellent example of a vintage Whitmee roaster in very good condition.

This was purchased in 1946 by  H R Higgins and installed at their roastery in South Molton Street where it remained in production until 1986 serving many tons of coffee to customers in Mayfair, London.

It was then moved and placed in dry storage at their roastery in Waltham Abbey and later moved to another roastery in Whitby last year.

The roaster comes complete with everything on the pallet as shown in the photos.

It has no belts or chains, but does come with the original burner and gas train and also a lever for turning the cooling tray arms on and off.

It could be brought back into production quite easily, but it no longer comes with the cyclone or destoner.

It would make an ideal show piece for a roastery or coffee shop or put back into production.

IMA C55 Tea Bagging machine for sale

Year 2015

This C55 produces a single chamber string and tag tea bag during operation of the machine without envelope.

It is a knotting machine - Staple free.

Tea Bag size: 57mm x 70mm

Tag size: 27mm x 27mm (Square)

In counts of 20 and 25.

Tea is gravity fed.

Carton sizes/options:

1.) 140 x 62 x 62(h) mm: for 1 x row of 25 Tea bags

2.) 140 x 121 x 62(h) mm: for 2 x rows of 25 Tea bags = Total 50 Tea bags

3.) 120 x 62 x 67(h) mm: 1 x row of 20 Tea bags

4.) 120 x 121 x 67(h) mm: 2 x rows of 20 tea bags - Total 40 Tea bags.

The cartons are filled on the C55 and conveyed onto the carton glueing machine - which is included with the line.

The finished cartons are then packed into outer boxes and run through a case sealer, also included with the line.

Currently set-up for packing herbal tea and fruit tea.

Speed: 
450/min with black tea bulk density of 370gm/litre.
400/min max on herbal/fruit teas. 

Good working condition, well maintained with preventive maintenance.
