This is the latest edition sample roaster by Ikawa bringing digital precision and automation via the IKAWA PRO App to coffee roasting and allows for greater control, efficiency, speed and for finer adjustments to be explored.
HOW IT WORKS
Air is drawn into the roaster by the fan – (The only moving part in the roaster)
Air is heated as it passes through the heating element and is measured by the first 2PT 1000 Grade A Temperature Sensors.
Hot Air is blown though the louver vents in the roast chamber which agitates the beans and allows them to roast evenly.
The Exhaust Temperature in the roast chamber is measured by the Ikawa Strong PT1000 Grade A Temperature Sensor.
A PID-J Controller adjust the fan speed and the Heating Element to match the Temperature on the Roast Profile.Chaff is continually removed during the roast period by a filterless cyclone system falling into the collection jar below to separate it from the beans.
When the roast is complete, a press of a button blows the roasted coffee beans from the roasting chamber to a clean collection jar below.
The Roast Profiling is arranged via the IKAWA PRO APP, which can be run via iPhone, Tablet or laptop, delivering hands-free roasting with digital precision and control.
